Campaign updates

On October 19th, Mr. Schlesinger and myself went to Notre Dame High School in West Haven. He made a speech, as well as answered questions from students. There were several other candidates running for state office there, as well as a representative from the Lamont campaign.

By the end of his speech, Mr. Schlesinger was the only candidate to recieve a standing ovation. The students overwhelmingly supported Alan and loved his responses to the great questions that the students had to ask. At the conclusion of the event the students lined up to shake Alan's hand and to offer to volunteer for his campaign. Notre Dame is definitely Schlesinger country!

On the 21st Alan Schlesinger was honored to be asked by a Republican Town Committee member to particpate in the movement of a 9/11 memorial in Middletown. Mr. Schlesinger and his campaign staff were extremely touched to be involved in something so important.

Later in the day Mr. Schlesinger and his team appeared at the East Hartford Fall Festival. We all had a great time meeting the residents of East Hartford! The Republican Town Committee welcomed us and spent the day helping us campaign. They all wore Schlesinger stickers and offered Mr. Schlesinger's campaign literature at their table.

Great photos! And Alan, thank you so very much for continuing the debates! Joe's doing everything he can to run from his record, but you're ensuring that the critical issues get aired out. We really appreciate that!

Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue . . . it must be said 'the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.' (Second Inaugural Address of Abraham Lincoln on Saturday 04 Mar 1865) / (Psalm 19:9)

I have a giant sign with your name in front of my house located on the eastbound side of Route 34 in Orange.

Feel free to stop by and inspect the roadside posting.

A Special Message to All Terrorists Worldwide.

David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. (1 Samuel 17:45-46)

Good luck tomorrow, Alan. Win or lose, you represent the values that the two liberals in this race will try so hard to suppress. Neither Lieberman nor Lamont represent the decent, everyday people of Connecticut. And if you don't make it, at least know that Chris Dodd's up in 2010.

VOTE REPUBLICAN. These Dead Shall Not Have Died in Vain.

- - - - - - - - - - - - -

We the voters here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain and that there will be a new birth of freedom everywhere in the world.

Don't believe the distorted reporting of the "drive-by" media which is an organ of the Democratic National Committee. The Democrats would willingly sacrifice our country's national interest to re-attain their power. Democrats cannot be entrusted with National Security.

Abraham Lincoln said that you can't fool all of the people all of the time. The DNC and the liberal media have lost their monopoly on the disemination of information because of the new technology (i.e., internet etc.). Therefore, it will be much harder for the DNC to fool us with lies.

Ask any soldier in Iraq to find out how the Iraq situation is progressing. I've heard many of them say that the situation is progressing extremely well. Any country in the middle-east with a representative form of government would be more prosperous and less threatening.

The Islamic enemy and the Liberal Democrats hope desperately that citizens will lose resolve. Don't be dismayed by casualities. The U.S. Marine Corps lost about 6800 marines in Feb 1945 on Iwo Jima. We lost about 10,000 people during the three month struggle for Okinawa. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.

On Tuesday, I hope that the voters deliver a stunning defeat to the Democratic National Committee. Such a stinging rebuke would bolster our cause. Remember, in 1864 during the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln had to win re-election against a very disloyal general who was a subordinate previously. Today, President George W. Bush faces the same dilemma.

VOTE REPUBLICAN.

Yours sincerely,

Marc
